Product description Grapes from 35-year-old vines in Fronsac. Hand-harvested with manual and optical sorting. Fermentation took place in 500-litre French oak barrels, with 30% being new. The wine was then aged in 225-litre French oak barrels for 18 months, with 30% being new and 70% being one-year-old oak barrels. Aromatic nose, floral notes, dark bramble-fruit and cherry and a wonderfully fresh mineral driven edge. Fine tannins and well-balanced acidity, pure and ripe fruit – blackberry and raspberry and just a touch of pepper spice and cedar on the finish.
