Product description Grown in the cool-climate Adelaide Hills from the single-vineyard Mappinga site in Oakbank — identified by Sidewood as its coolest vineyard. Wild (ambient) yeast fermentation. 20–30% whole bunch, balance whole berry. Limited bâtonnage. Aged 18 months in French oak, 30% new, in 300- and 500-litre barrels (fine-grained, medium toast). Barrel selection prior to bottling. Perfumed red-forest berries, dark plum and spice lead into a plush yet dry palate with fine oak and a decadent chocolate-licorice finish.
