Product description An exceptional terroir, neighbouring Mouton, Lafite, and Pontet-Canet. One of the oldest second wines, created in 1955. Hand-harvested with careful sorting in the vineyards and for a second time at the sorting table. Each batch is vinified separately: total destemming, light crushing, and vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. After blending, ageing extends from 18 to 24 months in barrels (30 to 40% new wood). This wine is made to be enjoyed earlier than the Grand Vin. Expect aromas of redcurrant and dark chocolate alongside savoury notes. Full-bodied with supple tannins.
