Description Gonzague and Claire Lurton, owners of Acaibo, come from a distinguished winemaking family in Bordeaux. Gonzague owns Château Durfort-Vivens (Second Growth), while Claire oversees Château Ferrière (Third Growth) and Haut-Bages Libéral (Fifth Growth). Having achieved great success in Bordeaux, they decided to bring their expertise to Sonoma’s Chalk Hill region in the United States. The label’s three-fish emblem is inspired by the word “Acaibo,” which originates from a local dialect in Chalk Hill. It symbolizes Bordeaux’s three noble grape varieties—Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc— and also represents their three classified growth estates and their three beloved children.
